The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has revealed that students’ loan application portal will open officially on Friday, May 24, 2024.
This was made known in a statement issued by the Media and Public Relations Lead of NELFUND, Nasir Ayitogo on Thursday.
According to the statement, the management of NELFUND led by its Managing Director, Mr. Akintunde Sawyerr announced May 24, 2024 as the official date for the opening of portal for students’ loan applications.
“This marks a significant milestone in the commitment of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) to fostering accessible and inclusive education for all Nigerian students.
“Through the portal, students can now access loans to pursue their academic aspirations without financial constraints.
“The portal provides a user-friendly interface for students to submit their loan applications conveniently,” the statement partly reads.
NELFUND encouraged all eligible students to take advantage of the opportunity to invest in their future and contribute to the growth and development of Nigeria, stressing that students can access the portal on nelf.gov.ng to begin application.
It also advised students and Nigerians alike to contact NELFUND via email on info@nelf.gov.ng or through its various social media handles for more information and assistance.
